Thank you for coming to learn more about me!  I grew up in Mount Vernon, WA where I started taking classical piano at age 7 and joined the choir at age 10.  I began performing in musicals in middle school and when I was 14 I began to study vocal jazz & dabble with the guitar.  I was in the elite jazz choirs at my high school, at Skagit Valley College and finally at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) where I got my degree in accounting.

​I lived in Seattle for 10 years, working as an accountant, where I did a LOT of karaoke (and even hosted a few times!) and was briefly in an adult jazz choir.  I also drove back up to MV to perform in a few musicals, most recently playing Maureen in RENT.

Then, I picked up everything and moved to Denver in fall of 2013 which has turned out to be the best thing for my music!  In fall of 2015, I discovered Strum & Sip, group guitar lessons at various bars around the city where you can socialize and learn at the same time.  I dove in to learning guitar head first and within 8 months I was on stage for my very first open mic performance.  I’ve pretty much been hooked ever since.  After about a year and a half of the lessons, I began to help teaching as a substitute occasionally and now I am teaching regularly a couple days a week.  I've also began learning to play the Ukulele, what a fun little instrument!  And, I have fallen back in love with the piano and have enjoyed what I’ve learned through guitar to make performing on the piano so much more fun!

​Outside of music, I love the outdoors; camping, hiking, paddle boarding, boating, etc. I do freelance bookkeeping & accounting (www.kfossaccounting.com) and I enjoy watching football and spending time with friends & family. Oh, and hanging out with my dog Jazzie!

​However, I’m ready to fill my life with as much music and performing as possible.  While I do still enjoy crunching numbers here and there, my soul belongs to music and I can no longer ignore that spiritual tug.  I am also a member of two Denver cover bands: Rock Candy & Radio Revolution so follow me to find out where and when we perform.  Please contact me if you have any new musical opportunities for me!
